The Safest Way to Open an Email Attachment
Right click on the attachment
Select <Save AS> in "My Documents"
Give it a Name
Click <Save>
Go to the file you saves in "My Documents"
Right click on the file name
Select <Run a Virus Scan> (be sure your anti virus program is up to date)
If no virus is found, it is safe to open the attachment
POPFile. If you want to eliminate SPAM (junk email), try free POPFile. It learns about spam as you delete it. Eventually, it deletes nearly all spam on its own. It will delete things you want, but you can check junk files to see what is being deleted.
