Computer Help for Seniors (and Other Newbies)

Help avoid online tax fraud

Hello! My name is Don Nitkin I give one-on-one computer lessons to our local seniors and other beginners (Newbies).

However, this web site is open to anyone. I am constantly adding new material so visit often.

My experience has been that computer classes are often ineffective. In a class, it is difficult to find the proper level of instruction. Invariably some people know more than others. Some people need more help than others which can monopolize the teacher's time. The other students then are frustrated because the teacher is tied up.

I have found that people learn best one-on one. That is not always possible because of time and monetary constraints. So I am providing this web site to help people find information and FREE computer tutorials. This way they can learn at their own pace, repeating the lessons as often as needed.

As you have heard the Internet can be a dangerous place. There are viruses, worms, Trojans, and spyware waiting to attack your computer.

In order to use a computer to access the Internet and email, one of three situations must be in place.

1. You need a knowledgeable friend or relative to periodically evaluate and/or fix your computer.
2. You will have to pay a repair service.
3. You will have to become knowledgeable yourself.

I recommend #3 and I hope this web site will help you get there.
